Sustainable Development:Expanded Environmental Destruction

In Halifax, Nova Scotia, a conference was held on 15-17 October 1989, based on the concept of “sustainable development”. The conference was organized by the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment and was called “Building Partnerships for Environmentally Sound Development in Nova Scotia”. One of the conference objectives was “to initiate the process of drafting a sustainable development strategy in Nova Scotia”.
