Register here (Opens March 31st)

Twenty conservation organizations and local businesses have come together to organize the 2023 Re-Wilding Oregon Conference at Lake Creek Lodge on May 13, in Camp Sherman, Oregon. This is a first of its kind event in Oregon, and we are excited to be hosting many speakers who are experts in their fields to present on various subjects related to rewilding. We will have panel presentations on carnivores, the “30×30” campaign to protect 30% of the world’s habitat by 2030, forest ecosystems, desert ecosystems, and native fishes.

The vision for the conference is to bring the conservation community and the public together to explore the concept of rewilding, what it means in practice, and to set some goals for what we want for the future of our public lands here in Oregon and across the country.

Native wildlife and the ecosystems they depend on need to be better protected if they are to have a fair shake at surviving an uncertain future of increasing industrial extraction, habitat loss, and climate disruption. Public education is key so we can raise awareness and take informed action to build a better future for all life in Oregon.

Admission is $25 which includes morning coffee & pastries, lunch, and dinner. A social gathering will be held onsite after a day of presentations. We hope to see you there!

Hello,

I just registered for the ReWilding Conference. I have a small teardrop camper I tow with my Subaru to sleep in. I would be driving over from Boise, ID. Would there be a place to park near the Lodge for 5/12-13? I don’t need to plug in just perhaps a toilet?

Thanks,

Diane Rice
