When we bought our house, we replace the lawn with native plants. I intended to just let the native plants do their thing and leave them alone, but the non-native weeds were persistent. I now have to spend a lot of time weeding just to make sure the native plants survive. So sometimes it’s a lot more than just stepping back and letting nature do the healing because of the great harms that humans have caused.
