Stand in solidarity to support Native People
NOTE: This Rewilding blog is presently transitioning into REWILDING EARTH.
This article is from Terry Tempest Williams who today put this article on Facebook in collaboration with photographer Fazal Sheikh.
Today, the Citizen’s Rally on behalf of Bears Ears National Monument and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument at the Utah State Capital is happening in Salt Lake City. Thousands of citizens gathering in solidarity to support the Native People of the Four Corners Region whose sacred lands are about to be violated by the Trump Administration.
In times like these, we wonder what we can do. Each of us holds our gifts. We can give them up in the name of community for the common good. The photographer Fazal Sheikh and I made an offering called “EXPOSURE” in the name of solidarity to support the Tribes and conservation community on behalf of these monument under siege..

The Rewilding Institute (TRI) mission is to explore and share tactics and strategies to advance continental-scale conservation and restoration in North America and beyond. We focus on the need for large carnivores and protected wildways for their movement; and we offer a bold, scientifically credible, practically achievable, and hopeful vision for the future of wild Nature and human civilization on planet Earth.
