Rally to Save Wildlife – November 16 in Albuquerque

TRI received this email about an upcoming protest. We hope you will join them!

We are volunteers with the group Stop Coyote Killing Contest in New Mexico. We formed last year when a Los Lunas business sponsored a coyote killing “contest” last November and we protested.

It is our understanding an additional Los Lunas business along with the same one last year, are sponsoring killing “contests” on November 16-17, 2013 and December 7-8, 2013.

Unfortunately, HB 316 (sponsored by Representative Nate Cote), which would have outlawed these events, did not pass during the House Floor vote this past session. It failed by eight votes. I have attached the final vote tally and the Bill for your reference.

Our mission continues and we are having a rally next Saturday, 16 November at UNM from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We have invited the Governor and her staff to join us.

We welcome your joining us, too!
