When I was an Earth First! campaigner in the 1980s, we sponsored Paul Watson speaking at the University of California at Berkeley. A few of us had pizza and beer with him afterward. He had the same attitude toward the natural environment as we did. The only difference was that we were on land, and he was on the water.

Captain Watson is a real environmental hero, and he should be recognized as such.
